$400 Original Mixed Media Painting on Paper

(unmatted and unframed)

Image size approx 20x28 (add several inches for matting and framing for finished size)

Just finished, large-scale, mixed media collage/decollage/painting on paper. Several layers of medium, finished with wax. Please email me to see it in person. Of course my iPhone photo doesn't do the piece/colors justice. I'm happy to offer framing/matting assistance and suggestions. cherielester@gmail.com, Woodley Park, Washington DC.

in McLean Central Park

WELCOME
to MPAartfest

On October 3rd, 2010 MPAartfest will transform McLean Central Park into a lively landscape of mini art galleries showcasing and offering for sale the work of a diverse group of 40 juried artists.

MPAartfest includes activities to captivate art-lovers of all ages. Stroll through the Children’s ArtWalk, sponsored by McLean Citizens Foundation, to experience the work of young artists from McLean area schools. Budding artists may create their own works of art at the Children’s ArtTent, coordinated by New Dominion Women's Club. The Gazebo Stage will feature a variety of live performances throughout the day. Visitors can treat themselves to a delicious selection of refreshments from local restaurants.

A rain-or-shine event, MPAartfest will move inside the McLean Community Center, adjacent to the park, in case of inclement weather. McLean Central Park is located at the intersection of Dolley Madison Boulevard (Rte. 123) and Old Dominion Drive. Hope to see you at this truly wonderful event! Feel free to email me with further questions. Thanks, Cherie

Just came across this very nice blog entry with a few of my pics & info about some works. Love the blog created by two design enthusiasts here in DC! Check out their site when you have a chance.
